This client is an award winning Managed Service Provider with a varied and high profile client base. Due to rapid expansion we are seeking an outstanding individual to undertake the role of Infrastructure Engineer with a Security Focus. The role will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Infrastructure and Security initiatives, projects for clients and internal systems. The role requires proactive interaction with clients and people throughout the business, problem solving and good communication skills. 

Reporting to Infrastructure Manager your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Be the SME (subject matter expert) for all security related escalations, requests and client facing conversations around Cyber Security solutions.
  • Implementation of new systems/features/fixes and upgrades as required.
  • Provide technical support to and implement major IT projects as required.
  • Proactively identify and qualify security risks and develop solutions to mitigate those risks.
  • Respond to any security incidents and action accordingly.
  • Provide reporting around client environments.
  • Develop concise documentation where required.
  • Work with multiple lines of business to ensure safe and secure technology practices are followed.
  • Be a proactive trouble-shooter and provide strategic solutions to a variety of technical issues by answering queries accurately
  • Create repeatable processes for end users of varying technical maturity
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing support to a range of clients
  • Develop and update documentation where required.
  • Record all work in compliance with company policy.
  • Fulfil additional duties as required by Infrastructure Manager.

Demonstrated Key Competencies:

  • Systems Administration experience with broad knowledge and applied working experience.
  • Experience with secure Active Directory and Azure AD configurations.
  • Experience with Office 365 and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)
  • Incident response experience
  • Level 2-3 competency using Windows and Linux
  • PowerShell scripting (intermediate) (Desirable)
  • Microsoft Intune (Desirable)
  • Understanding of ISACA, TOGAF or SABSA framework (Desirable)
  • Technical and solutions focused with demonstrated attention to detail 
  • Proactive and positive can do attitude with a focus on value.
  • Excellent customer service skills and clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and Lateral thinker who can solve complex problems
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A current driver’s licence as interstate travel may be required
  • Certifications in Microsoft product support and ITIL frameworks are preferred not essential
