This client is an award-winning Managed Service Provider with a varied and high-profile client base. Due to rapid expansion we are seeking an outstanding and experienced individual to undertake the role of Project Engineer. You will be collaborative, team orientated as well as being able to work autonomously. This is a hands-on and demanding role focusing on the delivery of projects in line with client strategies and technology roadmaps along with providing escalated support. You will be required to work across multiple client environments and work with technologies including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Windows Servers, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, Enterprise Mobility + Security, Microsoft SQL, Remote Desktop Services, VMware, Hyper-V, and a variety of LAN and WAN technologies.

Working from our Melbourne Office, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Configuring and deploying networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, wireless APs and switches, with the Cisco Meraki and Unifi product ranges.
  • Implementing and migrating clients to Microsoft Office 365 including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams and Skype for Business
  • Implementing Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) for clients to provide Mobile Device Management, Windows Device Management and Azure AD.
  • Implementation of Windows based servers on both cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Deployment and rollout of workstations on-premise based on Standard Operating Environments (SOE’s).
  • Delivering quality in-house training on completion of projects to the support team to enable them to provide quality ongoing support, including developing project documentation of detailed designs and configurations.
  • Documenting and providing go-live and post-implementation support for the above projects, and providing a smooth handover to the BAU support team.
  • Assisting with the development of proposed solutions based on your skills and experience.
  • Work as part of a team, being responsible for leading the delivery of some projects whilst supporting others.

Demonstrated Key Competencies:

  • Experience in a project execution and 3+ years’ experience at Leve 3 IT support role.
  • Experience in delivering and supporting multiple Microsoft Office 365 based projects including migrations across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Skype for Business. Experience with Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) and Intune would be highly regarded.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure including Azure AD.
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting a range of Microsoft Server technologies.
  • Experience in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting:
    • LANs and WANs including firewalls, routers and modems
    • Common anti-virus and security products
    • Backup and disaster recovery technologies
  • Experience in working with virtualisation technologies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional after hours or weekend project work.
  • Australian driver’s license.
  • Right to work in Australia as either a citizen or under a permanent work visa.
