BREAKING NEWS……. Micale Recruitment has been given the task to search Australia wide for a unique individual to join a driven and dynamic team. The Communications and Marketing Department is seeking an energetic, agile, and highly competent Digital Media and Communications Officer to join the team!

NO TWO DAYS WILL BE THE SAME IN THIS FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT:

You will be driven by an innate desire to help people. You will be an excellent writer, capable of drafting engaging content for a range of audiences. You will develop and deliver a range of communications products for all channels, including print, email, social and digital content with direction from the Communications & Marketing Manager and Member Engagement Manager.

Reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager, you will;

  • Work closely with the Member Engagement Manager to co-ordinate social media presence and activity, including preparation, monitoring and mediating posts, and alerting management of any arising issues, in accordance with the organisation’s strategic objectives
  • Produce content and update digital media platforms – website and members’ app
  • Provide general communications support for public campaigns.
  • Film, produce, edit and deliver video content to members via digital platforms
  • Write, format, edit and deliver literature pitched to all or specific segments of membership cohorts
  • Assist with the implementation of approved communications strategies
  • Provide timely advice to management on news stories appearing in social / traditional media outlets that may require the organisation to provide a timely response
  • Maintain and update image library
  • Represent the organisation at various forums, as required
  • Respond appropriately to membership enquiries


 

Demonstrated key competencies/Qualifications:

  • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to write in an active tense for a range of audiences
  • High level of personal drive and initiative
  • Results-orientated. Takes responsibility for managing own work and meeting project deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management both internally and externally
  • Actively identify opportunities relating to proactive media stories, events, social media content, member-engagement and ways of improving internal processes.
  • Ability to think strategically and bring creative content that will engage and grown key audiences.
  • Superior knowledge of key social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Sound IT skills particularly a demonstrated proficiency in use and knowledge of MS Office programs, Abode software (especially InDesign) and Final Cut Pro
  • Preparedness to learn video production and editing if these skills are currently not to the required standard
  • Maturity and discretion to maintain integrity of confidential or sensitive information
  • Preparedness to travel on a regular basis anywhere within the state and to work extended hours if, and when, required.
  • A tertiary or postgraduate qualification, preferably in the communications / public relations field will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in a communications / public relations / marketing role is preferred
  • Police clearance (Victoria Police consent to check and release national Police record).
  • Must possess a driver’s licence.
