We are delighted to partner with our client, a forward thinking and innovative organisation providing an extensive range of services, on a national basis, in the health care sector. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to undertake the role of Group Company Secretary supporting the Chief Executive, recognised as one of the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence, and the highly respected Board. The right candidate is a seasoned professional with a high level of initiative, diplomacy, planning skills and excellent communication skills who enjoys dealing with all levels of staff and external parties.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide advice on current best practice corporate governance requirements and practices, directors ‘duties, board reporting and proper meeting procedures, ensuring high quality documents are prepared to support good governance including minutes, agendas, and other essential records.

DEMONSTRATED SKILLS/QUALIFCIATIONS:

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in Law, Corporate Governance, Business Administration, or a related field ideally with a relevant post-graduate, qualification in corporate governance.
  • You must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Company Secretary, preferably with experience in the healthcare and/or aged care fields.
  • Experience working with Boards and senior management.
  • Sound knowledge of the legislative framework surrounding legal obligations of the role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail orientated.
  • Compliance with the organisation's COVID – 19 Vaccination Policy and Workforce Immunisation Program for Vaccine Preventable Diseases (essential)
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate (essential)
