Our client is a premier wholesaler of a wide range of timber products for the domestic housing industry, commercial construction, home renovations, and industrial markets. Products are globally sourced from Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and North & South America to provide customers with the right solution for their needs. An opportunity is now available for a dynamic and motivated individual to undertake the role of Warehouse Manager.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the State Manager as the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and dispatching of timber products. This role ensures efficient workflow, maximizes productivity, maintains safety standards, and enhances customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries.

 

DEMONSTRATED KEY COMPETENCIES/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse and dispatch management,
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and software
  • Forklift licence
  • Physically fit and mobile as heavy lifting forms part of the role
