Our client is a high profile not for profit organisation providing a number of important services across Australia and overseas. An exciting opportunity is available for a talented individual to undertake a 6-month contract for the role of Project Sourcing Specialist, supporting the Scientific portfolio in a number of projects!

Reporting to the Category Manager, responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for developing and negotiating business wide contracts that deliver cost effective solutions for operational requirements.
  • Lead stakeholders through the development and execution of contract negotiations and pricing strategies and complete the contract record in the Contract Management System along with required templates for the procurement requirements in the Oracle finance system.
  • Lead all phases of sourcing, including planning, analysing expenditures, identifying cost items, negotiating and generating contracts.

     Demonstrated skills required:

  • At least 3-4 years purchasing/strategic sourcing experience
  • Experience in developing and undertaking contract negotiations, pricing schedules and management plans.
  • Commercial experience, especially understanding Agreement terms and conditions and negotiating same.
  • Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals, schedule and documented outcomes to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
  • Experience managing multiple sourcing events simultaneously
  • Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge (able to create and manipulate pivot tables)
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Able to build trusted and collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use ERP software
